Working with E-mail Templates

Registry Managers can create and edit e-mail templates that are used to send messages to Clinical Portal users.

ClosedCreate New E-Mail Template

  1. Click the Administration tab in the banner at the top of the page.

    The Administration > Users page displays.

  3. Click the Add New Clinical Portal User Email Template button.

  4. In the Email Template section, enter the e-mail content as follows:

    Registrant Information Description
    Status

    Select the Active checkbox to indicate that the message is ready to send to the Clinical Portal user.

    Note: -_Only active messages will be displayed on the Send Messages page.

    Title

    Use this field to create a title for the message.

    Subject

    Use this field to create the Subject of the message.

    Note: -_ This information will be used to create the Subject information for the e-mail sent to the Clinical Portal user.

    Salutation

    The Salutation field contains the greeting that will be displayed at the beginning of each message.

    The default salutation created for messages is "Hello [USERNAME]", where the USERNAME variable will be replaced by the name of the Clinical Portal user that will receive the message.

    Body

    Use this field to enter the body of the message.

  5. To preview the content as it would appear in the e-mail, click the Preview button.

    The page refreshes to show the e-mail content in the Preview User Email Template section.

  6. Click the Back to Edit Template Page button.
  7. To save the e-mail template, click the Save button. Otherwise, click Cancel.

ClosedEdit Existing E-Mail Template

  1. Click the Administration tab in the banner at the top of the page.

  3. In the Clinical Portal User Email Templates section, click the Edit link that corresponds to the e-mail template you want to edit.

  4. In the Email Template section, enter the e-mail content as follows:

    Status

    Select the Active checkbox to indicate that the message is ready to send to the Clinical Portal user.
