	105	The Apelon DTS Brows er tool re presents t he client side of th e Apelon D TS client/ server
	106	Internet i nterface. It lets y ou access your Apelo n knowledg ebase eith er through your
	107	company’s intranet o r the publ ic Interne t (Web).
	108	Using your desired I nternet Br owser (Exp lorer 6x, Explorer 7 , or Firef ox 1.5, Fi refox
	109	2.0) as a front end for the DT S Browser, you can a ccess your knowledge base from any
	110	location. The DTS B rowser all ows you to view an O ntylog tre e of conce pts within a
	111	selected n amespace, or an Asso ciation (T hesaurus) tree for a selected namespace.
	112	The Ontylo g tree dis plays a na mespace co ncept hier archy refl ecting the superconc epts
	113	and subcon cepts (i.e ., parent concepts a nd child c oncepts) f or each co ncept in t he
	114	namespace. The Asso ciation tr ee display s namespac e concepts based on associatio ns
	115	between co ncepts (e. g., a conc ept that i s part of another co ncept, a c oncept tha t contains
	116	another co ncept, etc ). View o ptions all ow you to expand and collapse each displ ayed tree
	117	to display only the concepts y ou want. Views that provide d etailed at tributes f or selecte d
	118	concepts a lso are av ailable.
	119	The DTS Br owser also allows yo u to searc h namespac es, subset s, and kno wledgebase
	120	silos base d on the s earch stri ng paramet ers you sp ecify. Yo u can run wildcard s earches
	121	that retri eve result s similar to your se arch strin g paramete r, or run Exact Matc h searches
	122	that retri eve only t hose conce pts that m atch your search par ameters ex actly.

	124	The DTS Br owser oper ates in a client/ser ver enviro nment. Yo ur system must have your
	125	preferred browser (E xplorer 6x , Explorer 7, or Fir efox 1.5, Firefox 2. 0) install ed to use
	126	the DTS Br owser. Re fer to the DTS Serve r Installa tion Guide for infor mation on server
	127	requiremen ts.
	128	If cookies are not a llowed or are not en abled in t he Interne t browser you are us ing, the
	129	DTS Browse r will obt ain requir ed display configura tion detai l settings for each new
	130	Browser se ssion from the dtsbr owserconfi g.xml file (DTS3.4\t omcat\bin) . The DTS

	143	To run the Apelon DT S Browser, you first must star t the Tomc at Server on the mac hine
	144	where the DTS Browse r componen t is insta lled. You can start the Tomca t Server f rom
	145	the Window s Start me nu, or you can insta ll and run Tomcat as a service . Refer t o the
	146	Tomcat Ser ver discus sions in t he DTS Ser ver Operat ions Guide for proce dures on

	149	the local machine, l og into th e Apelon D TS Browser by select ing DTS Br owser on t he
