Starting in Spring 2015, My HealtheVet will use a new registration and log in process through Sign-in Partners. Sign-in Partners are organizations that have partnered with My HealtheVet to allow members to use their User ID and Password to enter VA websites. Until now, the User ID and Password you used to log in to My HealtheVet could only be used to access My HealtheVet. These changes will give you a new way to log in to My HealtheVet and other VA websites with the same Sign-in Partner User ID and Password. Other government agencies will soon also adopt this system. When you choose to visit other websites, only your identity is shared, not any of your personal medical information.
You will need a Sign-in Partner to register for My HealtheVet. Follow the steps below:
1. On the My HealtheVet home page, select the AccessVA button in the right-hand column. A pop-up window appears to choose or register for a Sign-in Partner.
2. To choose a Sign-in Partner you already have:
a. Click on the blue button for the selected Sign-in Partner
b. Log in with the Sign-in Partner
OR
To register for a Sign-in Partner:
a. Select Learn More to help you choose the Sign-in Partner that is right for you
b. Select Register to register for the one you selected
c. Follow the Sign-In Partner's instructions to create a User ID and Password for that Sign-in Partner
d. Log in with the Sign-in Partner
Note: If additional information about your identity is needed, a VA User Account Confirmation form may appear. Complete the form and select Submit. When all of the necessary information is collected, a confirmation page will appear. Click on OK.
3. Once logged in to your Sign-in Partner, you will be redirected to My HealtheVet.
4. The My HealtheVet Registration form displays:
a. Complete the Registration form.
b. You must indicate your Relationship to the VA.
c. Accept the My HealtheVet Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Secure Messaging Terms and Conditions. Select Save.
You now have a My HealtheVet Advanced account.
The next time you visit My HealtheVet, you will use your Sign-in Partner User ID and Password to access your My HealtheVet account. You must start by selecting the AccessVA button on the My HealtheVet home page in the right hand column, and log in with your Sign-In Partner.
Note: Your Sign-in Partner User ID and Password cannot be used to log directly into My HealtheVet.
A My HealtheVet Premium account provides the highest level of access to the most popular features - Secure Messaging, Prescription Refill, access to VA health records and more. A Premium account is available to Veterans and/or VA Patients. To get a Premium account, you need to complete the VA Release of Information Form (10-5345a-MHV). As a current My HealtheVet member, you will need to choose a trusted Sign-In Partner to access your My HealtheVet account. VA has created the AccessVA selection page to help you choose a Sign-In Partner.
If you have a Basic My HealtheVet account, it will change to an Advanced account when you log in through a Sign-in Partner. All My HealtheVet members will have an Advanced or Premium account.
Existing My HealtheVet members will be required to start using a Sign-in Partner to access their My HealtheVet account. You may set up your Sign-in Partner from the AccessVA selection page. Follow the steps below:
1. On the My HealtheVet home page, click on the Login button in the My HealtheVet Member Login box.
2. A pop-up window will explain the process to obtain a Sign-In Partner. Select Yes, Start Now.
3. On the AccessVA Sign-in Partner selection page, you may:
4. Read the directions for the Sign-in Partner website to log in or register. Select Continue.
5. You will arrive at your selected Sign-in Partner log in page. Register to get an account or log in with your User ID and Password for that Sign-in Partner. Once logged in, you will be redirected to My HealtheVet.
6. When you land in My HealtheVet, click on Login.
You have connected your My HealtheVet account with your selected Sign-in Partner.
To access your My HealtheVet account using your Sign-in Partner User ID and Password, follow these steps:
1. On the My HealtheVet home page, click on the AccessVA button in the My HealtheVet Member Login box.
2. Select your Sign-in Partner from the AccessVA Sign-in Partner selection page.
3. A page will appear notifying you to go to the Sign-in Partner website to log in.
4. You will be taken to your selected Sign-in Partner log in page. Log in with your User ID and Password for that Sign-in Partner.
5. Once logged in to your Sign-in Partner, you will be taken to your My HealtheVet account.
If you have a Basic My HealtheVet account, it will be changed to an Advanced account at this time. All My HealtheVet members will be in the Advanced or Premium account status.
