Changes are made to the VistA ePayments package MUMPS user interface (previously referred to as EDI Lockbox) to include additional functionality. The software will be distributed as a host-file containing the following patches:

The ePayments software will be updated to address business needs of the Department of Veterans Affairs to maintain compliance with legislative and federal mandates, and to address inefficiencies in the current process.
The increased automation of current processes is necessary to improve the productivity of Accounts Receivable (AR) staff and increase the accuracy of the revenue collection operation.

Some minor routine overlaps with eBilling and HPID project on the Third Party Joint Inquiry (TPJI) routines in the IB module are anticipated. eBilling and HPID project routine changes will be retrofitted to the ePayments routines before national release.
